Amanda Held Opelt is a writer and musician from Boone, North Carolina. Deeply influenced by the surroundings of her childhood and young adulthood, she sings stories that reflect life and culture of small town southern Appalachia and writes about the life of faith practically applied in an American context that is increasingly post-Evangelical and post-Christian. She began playing guitar at age 13 and almost immediately took an interest crafting her own melody and lyrics. After several years of living and working in Nashville, she moved to the mountains of North Carolina and has found a home in the strong community of artists and musicians there.
